Beautiful place, as soon as we arrived they welcomed us with wine on the table, appetizers galore, abundant first courses (the waiters came by several times for encores), really tasty second courses. Superlative desserts

The location wasrefurbished and rejuvenated, very characteristic are the vintage stone mills which unfortunately take up a lot of space and are bulky... the kitchen is managed by the renowned Chef Vincenzo Messina and therefore synonymous with quality and attention to detail... The place is worth it and you certainly won't be disappointed

A lovely restaurant still with old oil press bringing attention to the buildings past. The pizza is amazing with a wide variety of choice, and the fish dishes are delicious and good to share with large groups or families.

I have eaten at this place a couple of times. The pizza is very good, light and unsalted dough. Very generous small portion of chips.The fish is also excellent.I recommend it.It is advisable to book to secure your place.

Outstanding ExperienceWe recently travelled from the USA to Militello to host a family reunion of 20 relatives. U Trappitu restaurant was recommended because of its unique character. The restaurant is a converted oil producing mill, with original olive grinding wheels and vats. It is tastefully decorated to be historically reminiscent of an era gone by.We were elated by Vincenzo, the proprietor, who did a phenomenal job of creating a multi-course menu of traditional Sicilian delicacies. The food was delicious, starting with the antipasto, to the appetizer, home-made pastas, meat dishes and home-made desert. The quantity of each course was well in abundance of what the attendees could eat. In dealing with Vincent, he was very accommodating, flexible and provided impeccable service.
